ANNA BERNSTEIN

Marriage and Family Therapy Intern

Do you feel you have a lot of conflict within your relationship? Are you healing from an affair, divorce, or loss of a loved one? Does your mental health inhibit your daily functioning? Have you found yourself committing self-sabotaging behavior? These are problems I can help with.

As a therapist I strive to create a safe environment where individuals and couples can process their emotions, feel heard, accepted and respected. My goal is to build a strong relationship with each client through warmth, empathy, and authenticity. I want to meet you where you are at and help bring progress and connection to couples and families.

Together, we can work on how to use your strengths to help you heal, empower, and evolve. I‘m aware of the possible setbacks and challenges; there is no perfect way for progress to look, but whatever your progress looks like I am in your corner every step of the way as you work toward accomplishing your goals, becoming the person you want to become, and creating the life you desire.

I look forward to collaborating with individuals, couples and families from various backgrounds, including racial, ethnic, and sexual orientations, in a warm, affirming, and authentic environment. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and use She/Her pronouns.

My fascination with relationships and passion for helping people stems from my own story. I believe that being a Chinese adoptee set the foundation for my interest in relationships because it has given me a curiosity about the influence that people can have on people, especially through a nature vs. nurture lens. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, writing (my original form of therapy), baking sweet treats, listening to podcasts or music, watching tv shows and movies, hanging out with friends, family and pets, and sitting down with a good book, and equally good tea.

I practice under Renee Segal, MA, LMFT’s supervision.
