ANNE DOUCETTE

Marriage and Family Therapy Intern

Our relationships form a deep part of who we are, bringing us immense joy, yet sometimes causing profound distress. I consider it a privilege to walk with you through these struggles; to me, there is nothing more inspiring than witnessing someone overcome life’s challenges. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help individuals and couples break the repetitive patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected. This approach focuses on rebuilding core emotional safety, creating a solid foundation of trust to carry you through life’s ups and downs.

I view therapy as a safe space for individuals and couples to fully explore who they are, from personal hurts to new potential. Because the feeling of being misunderstood can be tolling, I show up with empathy, curiosity, and an open mind. Together, we will look behind the emotional response to identify sources of deeper connection and bonding. Working through a multicultural lens that honors your unique identity, I hope to help deepen your connection with yourself and others and uncover a path toward lasting growth and change.

My path to becoming a therapist wasn't linear, but came through my own life’s hurdles. While my previous career in hospitality and business honed my ability to actively listen and read a room, it was my experience as a caregiver that changed everything. I know firsthand how quickly life’s priorities can shift. I’m here to support you through those transitions and help you navigate their unique ripple effect on relationships.

Outside the therapy room, I find balance in life’s small pleasures, spending time with my partner and puppy, traveling, or just getting a good workout. I also coach and practice figure skating, a world that has taught me a fundamental truth: we all lose our balance sometimes. Whether you are here as a couple or an individual, I am here to help you find your footing and thrive.
